Young Culinary Achiever Scholarship

Provided by the Aqua Dining Group of Restaurants

The Aqua Dining Group of Restaurants has established an annual industry scholarship that will reward 3rd year apprentices who are undertaking trade training in commercial cookery or patisserie across Australia.

The Group’s Managing Director, Bill Drakopoulos, seeks to invest back into the hospitality industry through the provision of a scholarship that recognises culinary talent and above all else, a young apprentice’s passion and commitment to hospitality as a career.

The successful applicant receives return airfares to London, work experience with renowned Chef Brett Graham at the 2 Michelin Star rated Ledbury Restaurant, accomodation and $1,000 spending money.

Congratulations to Fuji Taukatelata, 3rd year Apprentice Chef at Campbelltown Golf Club who won this prestigious award for 2012.

This year's awards were held at a sumptuous dinner at Aqua Dining with the popular broadcaster Jonathan Coleman as MC, to a packed house of sponsors, families, friends and chefs with whom the contestants work. The two runners up were Kyiah Jones from Garfish in Manly, and Tommy Ly from the CBD’s Ash Street Cellars.
