The Ripples Cafes, which are located at Sydney Wharf, Chowder Bay, Milsons Point and Whale Beach, each boast magnificent waterfront views in some of the best locations Sydney has to offer. The venues each provide a la carte dining and cater for all types of functions as well as host special yearly events. Ripples pride themselves on supplying quality seasonal produce and exceptional customer service to make your dining experience one that is truly unforgettable.

DESIGN

In August 2007, Ripples Chowder Bay was transformed from the submarine miners’ depot into a stunning dining room sympathetic to its proud history. As a heritage building, the original timber framing and columns remain. Natural lighting paired with neutral coloured furnishings makes this function room feel open and welcoming. The main function room features a spiral staircase that was originally used for storing Aqua Mines in the 1880’s and is now used at the cafes cellar. Hence the function rooms present name – AquaMine Room.

Managing Director, Bill Drakopoulos

The Aqua Dining Group, owned by Bill Drakopoulos, boasts 5 of Sydney’s premier venues; Aqua Dining, Ripples at Milsons Point, Ripples at Chowder Bay, Ripples at Sydney Wharf and Ripples at Whale Beach.

With thirty years experience in the hospitality industry, Bill combined his expert knowledge of restaurant operations with his passion for customer service to undertake his own business venture. Bill has encapsulated the essence of Sydney dining with each of his venues boasting magnificent water views.
